- My husband, Brian, and I judge and administer the InnermoonLit writing contests. I have a BA in English and a Master of Liberal Arts degree with an emphasis on writing. I work in higher ed and occasionally teach WRIT 101: Composition. I've been studying writing since I was 10 years old and my grandmother, short-story author M. J. Amft, began giving me creative writing lessons through the mail.
